We needed a new light to sit near the piano to provide light for the music. This fit the bill perfectly. It arrived early and was packaged tightly but without excess, which I like for ease in unwrapping. I read the simple directions and voila! The lamp was near the piano providing perfect light. We love the unique button which allows you to change the intensity of the light--from bright to mid-level to a lower intensity for subtle ambiance. I would purchase this light again, and I will definitely recommend to friends. The price + quality + ease of use makes it an ideal household light. LOVE its location next to my recliner bcs it perfectly clears the top of my chair when I swivel—even when the lamp is adjusted to its lowest height. It’s ideal to finally sit & read with ideal lighting. AND for lovely ambiance when Not reading, the bonus is that I can swivel the lamp head up to highlight a great canvas painting above my chair. Would buy again!This is a great reading lamp. It was very easily assembled. I like that the light can be directed in many ways and can be dimmed if desired. It has a very sturdy base. The light can also be adjusted up or down. Would highly recommend this lamp!This light does exactly what I need it for. Bought to be a light to move around behind me while I do cross stitch. I really like its maneuverability and that you can adjust the brightness of the lamp. It is quite sturdy feeling, and the antique brass finish is pretty. It is a little smaller in person than I imagined it being, but still a nice, functional light.True story. Walking through Restoration Hardware and their $800+ lamps were junk. This one is a fraction of the cost and much better finished and built.I love this lamp. It is sturdy, well made, and has the wonderful feature of dimming and brightening. This is a warm brass colour.The dimmable function is fabulous going from very bright to quite low. You can create a bright enough reading light or a lower more ambient feeling light.
