The 2D Barcode Scanner is very easy to use, ready to go for my active business with no downtime setting up, and also a great tool for any business, be it warehouse or other. The scanner arrived as advertised, portability and ease of use. It is compact and lighter weight than what I am originally used to using. Set up didn't even take ten minutes to do, so this is very versatile in being accurate and easy to store on site while in between scans. This has really lifted the spirits up of our whole staff, as they have grown accustomed to way heavier and easily dropped scanners. Therefore I give the full 5 stars rating for innovation and convenience of use. I recommend these for all business owners, with and without large inventories.My Dongle was faulty, and the company was supposed to send a new one but never did. Blue wont work on my company computer.The big selling point of this scanner is its small size of course. It is very nice. It easily slips into a pocket and the attached lanyard can go around a wrist for increased odds of not dropping it. For my intended use, which is to track 200 kayakers with wristbands with QR codes on them as we launch and retrieve them, it's perfect. It's much less likely to go into the water than one of the more standard pistol-sized scanners. I've tested this scanner in storage mode (store now, upload later) in both USB and wireless connection modes. The USB works fine. The wireless came up having a pretty disappointing range (about 20 feet, like Bluetooth might be). The scanner was good at detecting lost signal and regained signal. I just wish it could get farther away like some of the larger scanners I've evaluated. Code scanning tended to go smoothly, even off my computer monitor. Uploads of stored scanned codes also worked well. I didn't observe any lost characters (like I did with this brand's big brother) in wireless mode. After a fair amount of testing this scanner still reported a 95% battery level. Whether or not that report is believable is to be determined. When my e-bike reports 3/4 level I know it's time to head home because it actually means less than half. We'll see about this scanner's reports. Overall this scanner has done well enough to be included in a stable of four scanners to be used at the big kayak event coming up. As noted I just wish its wireless range was better. We'll probably use the USB cable for this one.If you just need to scan barcodes close to your computer or connected device then this one works well. Our only complaint is that we use many barcodes that are closely located together on sheets of paper and it can be tricky to isolate or be sure that the scanner is scanning the correct code. It would be good if the scanner has a button that worked by pressure. Light pressure would light up or target the barcode and then a harder press would initiate the actual scan. But that probably only applies for our situation and the scanner will likely work perfectly for your situation.I bought this scanner to pair with my personal phone at work to take advantage of some of the inventory apps I use. It took less than 30 seconds to pair with my phone (Galaxy S21) and works perfectly with my Lowe’s inventory apps. The scanner is light weight and fits right in my vest, battery life is decent as well (it’s been lasting my whole 11 hour shift).I bought this scanner on a whim to help a friend out who recently started a new business. Once we got an excel spreadsheet setup for em, we were able to get their inventory issues under control. Very easy to use and super compact design allows one to keep it in a pocket, just incase. Would highly recommend to anyone that is keepin track of inventory or anything else involving lots of bar codes.
