This is one of my favorite albums of all time, and in my opinion is very underrated even by Paul Simpson himself. I love both the sound, with beautiful guitars and rich vocals, and the great songwriting. It is too bad that Jeremy Kelly left after this album, as while I enjoy the followup, it is definitely lacking the greatness that this album and the Lotus Eaters' (of which Kelly was/is a member) album No Sense of Sin both have. I love every song on this album, and it still amazes me that this was not more popular and commercially successful. It is so sad that this album is out of print and thus fairly expensive to obtain on cd or vinyl. For years I was looking for a copy on cd but was reluctant to pay the high price. Luckily I got a copy of the Magnitude collection when it came out in 2007, which includes this album and the follow-up Space Flower. I did recently buy a copy of this album on cassette for fairly cheap, and that is fun with my old walkman!
