I had a VERY old fireplace dvd, one that was meant for computers as well. It looked grainy and very yellow, progressively getting worse as we upgraded our tvs over the years.This dvd is very lovely. It has two options when you boot it up… fireplace cracking, and fireplace with Christmas music. It really does look like a fireplace is on my tv. The crackling sounds are great. I don’t think it’s fully HD quality, but I don’t mind. It’s MILES better than our old one!The one downside is it’s not a seamless loop. When it ends, it fades to a black screen for a few seconds and then fades back in. It’s not a huge deal but it’s a little bit jarring.Other than that I don’t regret my purchase at all. I’m very happy to have this dvd, and I look forward to using it for Christmastime, too.
