If you are not a Mr. Bungle fan, this will convert you. This recording is what Patton, Spruance, and Dunn wanted to make when they were in high school; they simply didn’t have the equipment and the experience. Just consider what Scott Ian describes near the beginning of the DVD. He practiced for four months to learn these songs (and developed arthritis) because these songs are so complex and intelligent, subversive and brilliant because they are self aware of their ridiculousness and outrageous nature. Then get the other albums.
